What are your paintings made of?

• my cloth paintings are made from a very high thread count cloth which i paint, dye, and mark.

• the dyes i use are lightfast and stable

• each painting is created by cutting small pieces of cloth, stitching them together by home sewing machine, then layering with machine stitched thread, and hand stitched thread

• the threads are imported from Europe, and are also hand dyed

What is the custom metal frame the paintings are mounted on?

• as part of my desire to create beautiful things, i designed a metal frame to support the cloth painting. when installed the painting looks like it is floating off the wall by approximately 2”

• the metal i use is a textured aluminum that looks like rippled water

• the frame comes with mounting holes already drilled

• each frame is custom fabricated for the painting mounted on it

• the painting is mounted to the metal using archival acid-free materials
  

How does shipping work?

• i carefully and thoroughly package each painting for shipping first with a layer of acid free paper, then with additional layers to ensure the painting is protected and cushioned for its journey to you

• i use FedEx tracked shipping to ensure timely and professional arrival to your location

• shipping is a flat rate added to cart during checkout (based on current rates). after packaging the actual rate will be calculated individually, and any difference in the final shipping cost will be refunded to you

• i’ll package and ship your painting within 5 business days and send you the tracking and shipment information

  • as an example with current (march 2022) rates for shipping within Canada (US and Europe are significantly higher)

    • for a 5 lb box, 28”x24”x4” - shipping with FedEx economy is $165
